Entergy Arkansas Warns Customers Of Possible Scam

Entergy Arkansas warns customers of possible scamEntergy Arkansas is warning customers of a possible phone scam, because they’ve seen it in other states.

Entergy is warning customers they could get scam calls, telling them their bill is overdue and their service will be shutoff if a payment is not made immediately. Entergy says often the scammers will ask customers to electronically transfer the funds into payment systems like “MoneyPak”.

Entergy reminds customers that they do make courtesy calls when power is about to be disconnected, but those calls are always recorded, not a live customer service representative. Also, Entergy uses a third party bill payment system called “BillMatrix”.

If a call sounds suspicious, call 1-800-ENTERGY.
